Human Facing & Hand Holding: Why I Use AI to Give You More of Me, Not Less

Bill Gates said something in a recent interview that stuck with me: "there will be some things we reserve for ourselves," even as AI takes over more and more of the world's work.

I've thought about that a lot. Because in real estate, it's true too, but only if you're intentional about which parts stay human.

What AI does for me

I use AI to speed up the parts of my work that are analytical: researching properties and neighborhoods, comparing data, drafting first passes and organizing information quickly. It's a tool, the same way a calculator or a spreadsheet is a tool. It doesn't replace judgment, it clears time and space for it.

What stays Human Facing

Here's what I don't hand off, and never will:

Walking the property with you: noticing the things a listing photo can't show, and reading your reaction in real time.

The conversation itself: understanding not just what you're looking for, but why, and what trade-offs actually matter to you.

The judgment calls: the moments in a negotiation or a decision that require reading people, not just numbers.

Sitting with you through the hard calls: the ones with real financial and emotional weight, where you need a steady, experienced person in the room, not an algorithm.

Why this matters for how you decide

This is also the thinking behind my ABCST Decision-Making System, a structured way to work through a major decision like buying or selling a home, built around how different people actually process big choices: Analytical, Balanced, Cautious, Structured, or Timeline-driven.

AI can help me gather the information faster. But knowing how you make decisions, and walking alongside you while you make them, that's the human-facing, hand-holding part. That's mine to give you, not a machine's.

If that resonates with how you'd want to make one of the biggest decisions of your life, I'd love to talk. In person.

Oh By The Way...
